Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form a wear resistant hard material layer on a substrate by coating it with an organic solvent in which a mixture of hard material particles and solder particles is suspended.
CONSTITUTION: Hard material particles and solder particles are jointly pulverized to form into a uniform mixture of <20 μm average particle size. This mixture is mixed with a bonding agent composed of polyisobutylene, a polyacrylate and a solvent to form into a hard metal-solder-suspension. This suspension is applied to a substrate at the layer thickness of 10 to 500 μm by immersion, screen printing, brushing, spraying, spreading or the like. This method is applicable to a compositely formed member.
