PURPOSE: To produce an inexpensive wooden material by oxidizing lignin in old paper made of mechanical pulp subjected to dry opening treatment by ozone and mixing a skeletal polymeric bonding material with the obtained pulp fiber material and heating the resulting mixture under pressure to perform bonding reaction and laminating surface layer material to both surfaces of the pulp fiber material before the completion of reaction.
CONSTITUTION: The old paper made of mechanical pulp supplied from a hopper 1 is rotated in an opening machine 3 at a high speed to be opened and ozone generated in a discharge type ozonizer 4 is injected from an ozone jet nozzle 4a. Lignin is supplied to the opened pulp fiber material moving through a raw material supply passage 5 from a lignin injection device 13 to be brought into contact with ozone and oxidized by ozone in a stirring reaction tank 6. A skeletal polymeric material is mixed with the pulp fiber material from a resin injection device 12 and the resulting mixture is stirred in a stirring tank 11 and heated under pressure to perform bonding reaction. In the same way, lignin of a chemical pulp fiber material is oxidized by ozone and the chemical pulp fiber material is laminated to both surfaces of the mechanical pulp fiber material before bonding reaction to inexpensively obtain a wooden material having good appearance.
