PURPOSE: To achieve clear printing both in printing characters and in solid printing, ensure uniform printing and obtain excellent operability and stencil sensitivity, by laminating a biaxially stretched laminate film consisting of a layer (A) and a layer (B) with a porous base on the side of the layer (A), and removing the layer (B) by delamination.
CONSTITUTION: A layer (A) comprises mainly a polyester copolymer which comprises at least one 10W33C higher aliphatic monocarboxylic acid or ester thereof as a main constituent, in an amount of 0.005W5pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the layer (A), and has an energy of fusion (ΔHu) of 3W11cal/g. A layer (B) comprises mainly an ethylene-propylene copolymer, and has a melt index of 0.5W10g/10min. A porous base may be a Tetoron plain gauze, a Japanese paper, a non-woven fabric or the like. The layer A is laminated with the porous base, and hen the layer B is delaminated, thereby obtaining a layer-A/porous base laminate which constitutes a thermal stencil paper.
