Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily generate a conversion profile to be used for color matching performed in a printer.SOLUTION: The conversion profile is generated by a profile data generation method which includes: accepting an input of first information which is generated using a first color space value to be input to the printer and a second color space value which is obtained by measuring the color of a first chart which is printed out after adjusting the first color space value by color matching; accepting an input of restriction information which restricts the range of the first color space; accepting an input of second information, in which a second color space value, which is generated using the first color space value input to the printer, a second color space value obtained by measuring the color of a second chart which is printed out without adjusting the first color space value by color matching and restriction information, is associated with the first color space value within the restricted range; and converting, based on the first information and the second information, the input first color space value into a first color space value within the restricted range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
