An entry means 27 such as a remote commander sets and enters a channel selection condition and a memory 17 stores the entered channel selection condition. Channel selection conditions may be set. A channel selection condition retrieval section 20 generates an automatic channel selection schedule on the basis of the channel selection condition and program information stored in the memory 17. After the channel selection condition is once entered, a control section 19 periodically and automatically generates and stores a schedule. When there are programs in matching with the channel selection condition, it is displayed on an OSD and a slave screen to urge a viewer to select any of them.
