The image generation system includes a glare source drawing part which generates a first glare source image by performing drawing processing of a glare source while referring to a Z value of an original image stored in a Z buffer and generates a second glare source image by performing the drawing processing of the glare source without referring to the Z value of the original image stored in the Z buffer, a glare compensation image generation part which generates a glare compensation image by performing image arithmetic operation including AND processing between a first image which is an image by performing first blurring processing to the first glare source image and a second image which is an image by performing second blurring processing to the second glare source image or which is the second glare source image and a glare expression image generation part which generates the glare expression image based on the original image, the blurring image of the first glare source image and the glare compensation image.
