Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit program information.
SOLUTION: A communication part 33 communicates with a portable terminal through a communication network 4 for moving objects and communicates with a personal computer (PC) through a public telephone network 5. A program information database 34 stores program information containing the recording starting time, the recording ending time or the like. On the basis of an HTTP (HyperText Transform Protocol), the communication part 33 transmits the program information stored on the program information database 34 through the public telephone network 5 to the PC in the format of an HTML (HyperText Markup Language) file. The program providing device can be applied to the video recording reserving device of a remote control system.
