To provide a program recorder capable of suppressing an error such as a duplicated reservation even if a recording reservation is made for a series program which is broadcast irregularly, suppressing incorrect recording and/or omission in recording, and performing flexible reservation management.

A CPU 10 at the program recorder detects a program title substantially identical to that of a recording-reserved program from electronic program guide information in a predetermined search range of electronic program guide information storage days, during recording reservation setup for a series program, and then sets up individual reservation information for a program corresponding to the detected substantially identical program title. A recording reservation setting portion 6 is controlled to append an identification indicative that it is in a same group for association to the individual reservation information on a program corresponding to the substantially identical program title name.
