To provide a program source recording apparatus capable of attaining man-hour saving in the light of points that sources require processing and edit for a number of times, need much expense in time and labor and cause cumbersome tasks in order to collect and record program sources or the like from recording media and communication lines.

The program source recording apparatus comprises: an input section for receiving a plurality of continuous program sources including temporal information; a time detection section for detecting the temporal information of the program sources; a recording control section to which the program sources are supplied from the input section for receiving the program sources; and a database for the recording sources coupled to the recording control section, and the recording control section is configured such that the recording control section divides the plurality of program sources into individual program sources on the basis of the temporal information detected by the time detection section, and addresses are attached to the individual sources, respectively, and the resulting individual program sources are recorded to the database of the recording sources.
