PURPOSE: To obtain a programmable device for conducting an operation test at high speed.

CONSTITUTION: Configuration data necessary for conducting a test are stored in ROM 52 every classification of unit cells. And the data from ROM 52 are successively written by the use of a decoder 44 every classification of the unit cells and the configuration for the test is performed. A memory capacity of ROM 52 is small, compared with the case of storage of the whole configuration data and the configuration can be performed at high speed, compared with the serial transmission of the configuration data into the configuration.
