A programmable logical element which can attain an m-input/1- output logical function is provided with a selection circuit 200 which outputs one of selected signals in response to the value of a prescribed selection signal. Then (k) pieces of input signals (k: an integer of m-1 or less) are inputted to the circuit 200 as selection signals out of (m) pieces of input signals (m: an integer). Furthermore, an input signal excluding those (k) pieces out of (m) pieces, the inverted relevant input signal and a signal 0 or 1 are inputted to the circuit 200 as the selected signals.
