PURPOSE: To provide the programming device which enables a user to automatically know the mutual relation between an optional coil and a contact affecting it without paying attention to the contents of a sequence program and obtaining debugging support to the user.

CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a contact condition retrieval processing means which automatically retrieves contacts (condition points) affecting a specified coil Y0 once the coil is optionally specified among coils 1-4 of relays in the sequence program displayed on a screen 1-1; and the retrieved condition contacts are displayed in a condition contact display area 1-8 corresponding to a circuit No. displayed in a circuit No. display area on the screen 1-1.
