Title:
PROHIBITING METHOD FOR FUEL CONTROL ABNORMALITY DETERMINATION FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3892188
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a fuel amount control abnormality is erroneously detected because of an improper correction of the fuel amount control by atmospheric pressure, in the case of running in a place under the atmospheric pressure different from a learned atmospheric pressure.
SOLUTION: In the fuel amount control, an opening degree of a throttle valve 2 disposed to an air intake system 1 of an internal combustion engine, pressure in the air intake system 1, and an engine speed are detected, the atmospheric pressure is learned based on pressure detected when at least the throttle valve 2 is fully opened, and the fuel amount is controlled based on the pressure in the air intake system 1 that is corrected by at least the learned atmospheric pressure and the engine speed. The pressure in the air intake system 1 is predicted based in the detected engine speed and the opening of the throttle valve 2, the predicted pressure is corrected by the learned atmospheric pressure, and when a difference between the corrected pressure and an actual pressure of the intake system 1 exceeds a preset specified value. A determination of the fuel amount abnormality control is prohibited by determining that the learning of the atmospheric pressure is abnormal.
