Abstract:
To provide a member for projection video display which has high visible light transmittance and excels in suppressing double images of a display image and in suitability to polarizing sunglasses for external light reflected incident light, and a windshield glass and a head-up display system using this member for projection video display.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises one or more phase difference layers 14, one or more selective reflection layers 12, and one or more polarization conversion layers 11 in the order stated. In a layer where the spiral orientation structure of a liquid crystal compound is immobilized, the polarization conversion layers satisfy the expressions y≤0.7x+3.2, 0.3≤x≤1.2, 1.0≤y≤3.0 and y≥1.875x, where x represents the number of pitches of the spiral orientation structure and y[μm] represents the film thickness of the polarization conversion layers, the spiral pitches of the polarization conversion layers corresponding to a cholesteric liquid crystal phase that reflects the infrared region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
