To provide a projection lens system having excellent telecentricity, a relatively small aperture ratio, and a rich peripheral light quantity, while having the reduced number of elemental lenses.
This projection lens system comprises, in order from a magnifying side, a first lens comprising a positive meniscus lens convexed toward the magnification side, a second lens comprising a negative meniscus lens convexed toward the magnifucation side, an aperture diaphragm, a affixed lens comprising a third lens of a concave lens and a fourth lens of a convex lens, a fifth lens of a positive lens, and a sixth lens of a positive lens, and satisfys expressions (1) -0.30<f/f34<0, and (2) 0.80<9/10<1.25, where (f) is a focal distance of the whole system, f31 is a resultant focal distance of the affixed lens comprising the third and fourth lenses, 9 is refractive power of a magnification side face of the fifth lens, and 10 is refractive power of a magnification side face of the sixth lens.
