Abstract:
To provide a projection system capable of performing projection to both of a front and a rear and also changing transmittability by non-projection light in accordance with a user's need, and to provide usage of the projection system.SOLUTION: A projection system comprises a projection unit and a screen. In the projection system, the screen includes a polarization separation element, and has a dimming film in one side or both sides of the polarization separation element, the projection unit has a polarizer in a screen side of a projector, the polarizer has a function of switching a transmission axis matching a TM polarization axis determined by the polarization separation element and a transmission axis matching a TE polarization axis determined by the polarization separation element, and the dimming film has a dimming layer capable of switching haze (white turbidity) at least by two stages by an applied voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
