To provide a projection system by which a projection image close to an image projected on a white screen can be obtained on a projection face having colors other than white or a pattern and images can be projected by the original capability of reproducing colors.
The projection system 1 includes: a projector 200 for capturing image data from an image output device 500 and projecting an image; an imaging device 300 for subjecting the projection face 100 to imaging; and a projector 400 for subjecting the projection face 100 to projection. The projector 400 has: a correction parameter creating section by which a correction parameter is created for eliminating a color pattern on the projection face 100 based upon imaging information from the imaging device 300; and a correction image data creating section 403 by which correction image data is created based upon the created correction parameter. Thus, a correction image for illumination based on the correction image data is projected from the projector 400.
