PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection television(TV) having a structure capable of freely attaching detaching a shield plate to/from a screen frame body in the front of a screen. SOLUTION: A rear transmission type projection TV for projecting light projected from a video source stored in a cabinet to a screen 2 as an enlarged transmitted video is provided with a frame body 60 for fixing the outer peripheral part of the screen 2 on the front of the cabinet, a transparent shielding plate 5 to be fixed on the front of the screen 2 by the frame body 60 and a fixing tool 10 capable of attaching/detaching the outer peripheral part of the shielding plate 5 to/from the body 60 in the front of the cabinet.
