Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device that is equipped with an angle fine adjustment unit and angle coarse adjustment unit in a mirror angle adjustment mechanism, and thereby enables a contribution to enlargement of an angle adjustment range and adjustment accuracy.SOLUTION: An illumination optical device comprises: an optical element 7; a frame body 8 that has a holding part holding the optical element, in which the frame body 8 is equipped with a pivotal shaft 6b,; adjustment means 12b that adjusts a rotary angle of the frame body 8; a frame body 9 that has a pivotal shaft parallel with the pivotal shaft of the frame body 8, and rotatable, and has a holding part holding the pivotal shaft of the frame body 8; adjustment means 12a that adjusts a rotary angle of the frame body 9; and housings 10 and 11 that have a holding part holding the pivotal shaft of the frame body 9. The adjustment means is equipped with a rotatable rotary shaft, and a rotary center of the frame body 8 and the frame body 9, a rotary center of the adjustment means 12a, and a rotary center of the adjustment means 12b are arranged parallely with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
