Abstract:
To provide a projection type display device that is capable of projection and photographing, the projection type display device capable of preventing a deterioration in photographing quality.SOLUTION: A projection type display device comprises: an imaging element 10; a light source; a light valve 11 that modulates light from the light source and emits the light in a predetermined polarization state; and an image forming optical system. The image forming optical system includes a first optical system G1 that is used for both projection and photographing and a second optical system G2 that is used only for projection, and includes a third optical system G3 used only for photographing and a separation member S that separates a light path into a light path from the second optical system G2 toward the first optical system G1 and a light path from the first optical system toward the third optical system. The first optical system G1 includes a 1/4 wavelength plate W and a polarizer P that is arranged to transmit light emitted from the light valve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
