Input video signals S1 are sampled in a sample-and-hold circuit 1 to generate output video signals S11, which are inputted to an LCD, projected and displayed. Inputting is started from horizontal start signals S13 and performed upto horizontal end signals S16 by display clock signals S12 for a horizontal direction, and inputting is also started from vertical start signals S15 and performed upto vertical end signals S17 by scanning signals S14 for a vertical direction and so as to perform display. By changing and setting the relative period from horizontal synchronizing signals S2 and vertical synchronizing signals S3 of the input video signals of the horizontal start signals S13 and the vertical start signals S15, the position of the displayed signal of an actual display screen in the entire display screen of the input video signals S1 is scrolled and changed, and the signal at an optional position an input signal screen is displayed.
