Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily match the convergence of a projection image with high precision by fitting a liquid crystal panel to a support body frame fitted with cross-shaped dichroic mirrors. CONSTITUTION:A cross-shaped dichroic mirror structure 1 is constituted by arranging the red-light reflecting and green-light transmitting dichroic mirror 80-1 and the blue-light reflecting and green-light transmitting dichroic mirror 80-2 in a cross shape in the support body frame 3 made of a rigid body, and red, green, and blue image display liquid crystal panels 4, 5, and 6 are arranged on the external surface of the support body frame 3. The cross-shaped dichroic mirror structure 1 (before being installed in the projection type liquid crystal display device) sets on an adjusting jig as a simple projection set and so adjusted as to match the convergence of projection images and put the red, green, and blue projection images in focus. The adjusted structure 1 is then arranged in a projection device to obtain the projection images of high picture quality only by adjusting a projection lens 2.
