Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the availability of light in a projection type picture display device having a multiple reflection element.
SOLUTION: The eccentric direction X of the pair of electrodes 11 of a light source 1 and the long side direction of the multiple reflection element 6 are nearly aligned, so that a luminous flux radiated from the light source 1 and reflected by a reflection mirror is efficiently led to the multiple reflection element. Thus, the light utilization efficiency is improved, so that a bright picture is obtained.
