Abstract:
To actualize a projection type projector which converts the circular outline of irradiation luminous flux after reflection by a reflector into a rectangle almost similar to the effective size of a liquid crystal panel on a liquid crystal panel surface and makes uniform light quantity distribution on the liquid crystal panel surface.
A free curved surface shape is defined with dot array data of what is called a spline obtained by prescribing the angles of a reflecting surface at the individual coordinate points of a reflector being a basic constitution element.
