Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a projection type stereoscopic image reproducing device capable of obtaining the sufficient luminance of a screen even in the case of reproducing a non-stereoscopic video not a stereoscopic image originally reproduced.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of reproducing the non-stereoscopic image, a switch 14 is changed over and the supporting frame 9 of polarizing filters 8 and 8' is turned around a shaft 10 so as to remove the filters 8 and 8' from the front surface of projection lenses 6 and 6'. Meanwhile, the video signal of the non- stereoscopic image supplied to an input terminal 2 is supplied to signal circuits 4 and 4', and projection tubes 5 and 5' are driven according to the image signal of the same non-stereoscopic image and the luminance on the transmission type screen 13' becomes the luminance obtained by adding the luminace of a projected light 16 to the luminance of a projected light 16'.
