Abstract:
To provide a projection type video display device capable of preventing a viewer viewing a video content from being disturbed.
A projector 1 includes a housing 10 which stores optical components for displaying a video, an air filter 32 which catches dust entering the inside of the housing 10 and a filter cleaning mechanism 4 which cleans the air filter 32. The projector 1 has a control part 53 which controls the filter cleaning mechanism 4. The control part 53 controls the filter cleaning mechanism 4 on the basis of a detection result output from a human detection sensor 61 which detects presence of a person.
