The projector apparatus 10 includes a case 12, a light source 44, and a video projection section 46. The video projection section 46 generates an image projection light from the light of the light source 44 and emits the image projection light through an opening 14, provided in the case 12 to project an image onto a screen 2. The light source 44 and the video projection section 46 are arranged inside the case 12. A light leak section 60A provides a notification that power is being supplied by a power supply switch 32, by allowing some of the light of the light source 44 or some of the light emitted from the video projection section 46 to leak to the outside of the case 12, in a state where a shutter 16 is located at a block position. The light leak section 60A is constituted of a gap formed between the edge of the opening 14 and the shutter 16, and is provided to allow some of the light emitted from the video projection section 46 to leak to the front of the front wall 12A of the case 12.
