Abstract:
To provide a projector and a method that can execute calibration in a shorter time.SOLUTION: A projector comprises: a lens unit; a lens shift mechanism that moves the lens unit in a rectangular plane orthogonal to projection light; a storage unit that stores a target position in the rectangular plane to be a destination of the lens unit moved by the lens shift mechanism; and a main control unit that, when the power is cut off while the lens unit is moved by the lens shift mechanism, selects any one of the four corners of the rectangular plane as an initial position according to the position of the projection light when the power is cut off, and moves the lens unit to the selected initial position with the lens shift mechanism before moving the lens unit to the target position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
