Abstract:

To provide a projector capable of easily adding a language of OSD display.

Ap projector 1 displaying an OSD image based on a set language includes: a non-volatile memory for previously storing internal OSD data 32a of each language of at least one country; a language menu display portion for displaying a language menu displaying predetermined items in addition to candidates of the languages of the internal OSD data 32a; a language selecting portion for selecting the language on the basis of the language menu; and a language setting portion for setting the language selected by the language selecting portion as the set language. While a memory card 100 storing external OSD data 100a having the same data structure as the internal OSD data 32a is connected to a memory card connecting portion 50, if a predetermined item is selected by the language selecting portion, the language setting portion sets the external OSD data 100a stored in the memory card 100 as the set language.
