To achieve improvement in space, operability and power consumption or the like when an overhead projector and a liquid crystal projector are both used.
The projector device is equipped with: a light source 10; an original irradiating optical system 12 guiding light from the light source 10 so as to irradiate an original 11; an original projecting lens system 13 forming the optical image of the original 11 irradiated with the light on a screen; a mirror optical system 20 reflecting the light from the light source 10 by a combined mirror and guiding it to liquid crystal panels 31, 32 and 33; a liquid crystal projection lens system 34 forming the optical image obtained by being transmitted through the liquid crystal panel on the screen; and a light source switching device 40 switching so that the light from the light source may be guided to either the original irradiating optical system 12 or the mirror optical system 20.
