Abstract:
To provide a projector that can reduce return light from a light control device to a light source device and secure the reliability of the light source device.
A projector 1 includes a light control device 6 that is arranged in the optical path of a luminous flux extending from a light source device to a light modulation device and adjusts the light quantity of a luminous flux made incident on the light modulation device. The light control device 6 includes a light shielding member 61 that has a light shielding face F to shield an incident luminous flux, and moves to partially shield a luminous flux emitted from the light source device. The light shielding face F has a plurality of first concavities 611 with faces.
