Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a projector which can accurately detect a focus and a projection system which is used for it and provided with high optical performance. CONSTITUTION:This is the projector projecting the projected image of an original picture on a prescribed surface by using the projection system. The projector is provided with a focus detection means 5 obtaining the information of range- finding by projecting luminous flux from a light projection means 51 on the prescribed surface and receiving light reflected from the prescribed surface by a light receiving means 52, and an adjustment means 53 interrupting the projection of the projected image of the original picture on the prescribed surface or reducing the light intensity of the porjected image on the prescribed surface when the information of the range-finding is detected by the detection means 5.
