Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost projector type head lamp that irradiates a road surface in a turning direction at the time of turning (cornering, for example).SOLUTION: The head lamp 1 forms additional distribution patterns for irradiating a region above the horizon with reflection light according to a second reflection surface 22, in addition to a low-beam distribution pattern. When a motorcycle travels upright, the head lamp 1 irradiates a signboard or a traffic sign located in the upper front of the motorcycle with the additional distribution patterns. When the motorcycle turns a corner, the additional distribution patterns moves below the horizon to irradiate the road surface in a turning (advancing) direction. No additional lamp unit or shutter drive device is required, thereby preventing cost increase accordingly, and configuring the head lamp 1 at a lower cost than prior arts.
