Abstract:

To provide a projector capable of easily changing a direction of projecting an image.

The projector 100 includes a laser light source for emitting a laser beam in response to an inputted image signal, a scanning means 350 for scanning the laser beam, a first mirror 131 for reflecting the scanned laser beam in a first direction, a second mirror 132 for reflecting the scanned laser beam in a second direction, and a switching means 133 for switching the first mirror and the second mirror. The first and the second mirrors 131, 132 are provided with a free curved surface and designed to cause no distortion substantially in a projected image 12 on a surface 121 on which the image 12 is projected by the reflected laser beam.
