To provide a projector saving space required for replacement of an air filter, suppressing ingress of dust into inside of a housing and enhancing convenience when replacing the air filter.
A projector 1 comprises: a housing 10 constituting an exterior casing; an air filter 4 for causing dust contained in ambient air drawn into inside of the housing 10 to adhere thereto; air intake ports 51 for drawing the ambient air; and an air intake case 5 having a case holding section 52 detachably held by the housing 10 and filter holding sections 53 for detachably holding the air filter 4. In addition to the above, the air intake case 5 and the air filter 4 are separated from the housing 10 substantially in a vertical direction with respect to a filter surface of the air filter 4.
