Title:
PROJECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015118362
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector enhancing admissibility of positional accuracy, improving contrast of an image, further controlling a boundary between a bright portion and a dark portion in an image plane of an image projected to not be conspicuous, for example, suppressing occurrence of a moire pattern and being capable of providing the excellent image.SOLUTION: A relay optical system 40 exhibits operation for deflecting light with respect to a bundle of rays passing therethrough by having an optical deflection member OC. Hereby, a cross section of the bundle of rays at an imaging position of color modulation light valves 50g, 50r and 50b is brought into a state of an appropriate size (spread). More specifically, the cross section of the bundle of rays can be adjusted so as to be brought into such a state that the cross section thereof is not completely imaged and blurred. Accordingly, a moire pattern is suppressed and an excellent image can be formed.
