Abstract:
PURPOSE:To effectively promote random thermal decomposition reaction of thermally decomposable polymer by adding azodicarbonamide to a thermally decomposable polymer prepared by subjecting a hydrazide-containing monomer and an NCO group-containing monomer to polyaddition. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. thermally decomposable polymer prepared by subjecting a hydrazide-containing monomer (e.g. adipic acid dihydrazide) and an NCO group-containing monomer (e.g. hexamethylene diisocyanate) to polyaddition is blended with preferably 10-80 pts.wt. azodicarbonamide to promote thermal decomposition of the thermally decomposable polymer. The thermal decomposition is preferably carried out in the presence of oxygen at 300-1,000 deg.C and >= a temperature capable of decomposing the polymer 100%.
