PURPOSE: To permit extracting and arranging outputs only for correcting places to send out, lessen the number of output medium, and raise the efficiency of proofreading operation by providing a correcting place data housing part and a corrected sentence arranging output processing portion in a proofreading and typesetting processor for paper printings, e.g., newspapers, etc.

CONSTITUTION: When the command input operation of correcting place registration, designating lines requiring arranging outputs, is performed, the input is decoded by a decoder 21 and stored in a housing part 25, and a processor 23 is actuated. The processor 23 reads out command codes from the housing part 25, paper discrimination code 4, corrected data 5, and manuscript discrimination code 6 stored there are registered in a housing part 40, and ending of registration is displayed on CRT device. Then, by command input of correcting place arranging outputs, decoding is made by the decoder 21 and stored in the housing portion 25, the processor 50 is actuated, command code in the housing part 25 is read out and judged, the code 4 is read out, and the data in the housing portion 40 are sequentially read out. Forthermore, on the basis of the code 6, the data are read out of the housing part 28 and compared with paper data from the housing part 40, and correcting places are extracted and arranged in sequence.
