Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support member for merchandise display furniture and the like reducing a material cost and weight by effectively reducing an amount of materials to be used, while substantially retaining the strength (a section modulus in particular).SOLUTION: A support member 10 according to the present invention comprises a joined body formed by combining a plurality of plate materials 28 and 30, and constitutes merchandise display furniture 1 along with shelf plates 14 and brackets 12. The support member 10, when being viewed with it assembled in the merchandise display furniture 1, is formed, into a substantially square tube shape, of: a front face part 20 and a rear face part 22 with a plurality of locking holes 18, formed at some interval apart in the vertical direction so as to engagingly fix the brackets 12 for supporting the shelf plates 14; and a pair of left/right lateral face parts 24 and 26 for connecting both ends of the front face part 20 and the rear face part 22. The thickness t1 of a part composed of only single plate material out of parts constituting the lateral face parts 24 and 26 is formed thinner than the thickness t2 of the parts constituting the front face part 20 and the rear face part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
