Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A propane-1-oxamide-3-dithioxamide of formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, lower alkyl or hydroxyl group).
EXAMPLE: 2,2-Dimethylpropanebis-1-oxamide-3-dithioxamide.
USE: Useful as an intermediate for the synthesis of pseudone-dimensional coordinated polymers.
PREPARATION: A propanebisoxamide of formula II is allowed to react with an equimolar amount of Lauesson's reagent in a solvent such as toluene to obtain the objective compound of the formula I. The compound of the formula II is e.g. propane-1,3-bisoxamide, 2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-bisoxamide.
