Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain the effective action of flowing water on runner blades by attaching a guide cylinder to the tip of the runner blades of a propeller water wheel.
CONSTITUTION: The guide cylinder 2 is attached to the tips of the runner blades 1 of a propeller water wheel. Thus, because, in case where the water wheel is hanged down in flowing water, the flowing water resistance at a right angle to axle becomes larger and thereby the runner blades 1 becomes liable to be swayed in the flowing direction, the flowing water effectively acts on the runner blades 1.
