To make a ship sail in safety at a high speed by strong propelling force, by installing a fan jet propelling device of which a driving machine is different from that of an underwater propelling device installed on a deck of a stern, in addition to a propelling device installed on an underwater part of the stern.
A water jet propelling device A, injects the water sucked from a suction port 2 of a belly part of a hull 1, from a discharge opening 3 of the stern, so that the hull is propelled by the reactive force of the same. A fan jet propelling device B comprises a fan 7 and an engine 8 connected with the fan 7, on a turntable installed on a rear deck of the hull 1, and the air jet AJ can be injected backward. When the high-speed sailing is needed, the propelling device A of the underwater part, and the fan jet propelling device B are simultaneously used, so that the hull can be strongly propelled, and the ship can sail at a high speed.
