Title:
Property modification inorganic oxide particles
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6074278
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inorganic oxide particles of which a hue change is suppressed by conducting surface treatment with a silane coupling agent having a CHNH group at a terminal of the chain.SOLUTION: Modified inorganic oxide particles are obtained by surface-treating inorganic oxide particles with a surface treating agent which is a silane coupling agent having a CHNH- at a terminal, a reducing agent, and a basic substance. It was found through assiduous investigation that an acid and oxygen existing on surfaces of the modified inorganic oxide particles after surface treatment are involved in hue change as causes therefor, and it was found that a countermeasure against an influence of either one of an acid and oxygen is not sufficiently effective and it was desirable to take a countermeasure against both of them. The invention was completed based on this finding.
