PURPOSE: To provide a prophylactic and therapeutic agent for hepatopathy, which contains a compound having an antiplatelet action as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: This agent contains at least one selected from Ro-44-9883 of formula I, MK-852 of formula II, a compound of formula III and salts thereof as an active ingredient. These compounds have high capability of binding to the receptor protein on the platelet membrane to inhibit platelet from bonding to the intercellular substance in blood or on blood vessel walls. It is particularly effective for acute or chronic viral or alcoholic hepatitis and is useful as a therapeutic agent for liver cirrhosis. It can be conventionally formulated into oral or parenteral preparations and the dose is 0.01-10mg/kg/day in the parenteral administration and is given once to seven times every week.
