Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase a brilliant area by changing the polishing angle of an upper girdle facet, i.e., an edge line angle of the upper girdle facet to change the thickness of the tip portion of the ridge line always larger than the thickness of the tip portion of bezel facet.
CONSTITUTION: When a thin portion A of a girdle is set to a valley, the thickness B of a bezel facet tip part 4 and the thickness C of the upper girdle facet ridge line tip part 5 corresponding to the mountain of the thickness portion of the girdle 3 are changed. Then, the girdle thickness C of the upper girdle facet ridge line tip part 5 is made substantially larger than the girdle thickness B of the bezel facet tip part 4 and the girdle thickness B, C is these tip parts are worked to have the mountain substantially thinner than the girdle thickness of that other than the tip part, so that the brilliant area is increased.
