Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proportional counter tube which suppresses the attenuation of intensity of an incident X ray by reducing a dead region, so as to improve detection efficiency of the incident X ray.SOLUTION: A proportional counter tube includes: a cylindrical gas filled container 1 in which a detection gas is filled and which is a cathode; an anode line 2 arranged at an axis of the gas filled container 1; disk-like electric field correction members 10 provided at both ends of the anode line 2; and an entrance window 4 for allowing radiation to enter the gas filled container 1.
