Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily control a tensile force applied by a strip by controlling rocking links by separate hydraulic cylinders and forming a base connecting the same as a torsional spring.
SOLUTION: First roll is almost stationally born and second roll 3 can be drawn down toward the same. The second roll 3 is composed of the two opposed rocking links 5, 5' which are provided with a common rocking shaft 7 within a machine casing 6 of the propulsion apparatus. The hydraulic cylinders 8, 8' are disposed on end parts of the rocking links 5, 5'. The rocking links 5, 5' are separately adjusted by the hydraulic cylinders 8, 8'. The base 9 connecting the hydraulic cylinders 8, 8' is formed of one or plural torsional pipes 10. Thereby, different rocking angles of the rolls can be produced.
