Abstract:
To provide a propulsion system for a power type vessel.SOLUTION: A propulsion system for a power type vessel includes a supporting member, an outboard engine, a water guiding member, and a water drawing unit. The supporting member is attached to a stern. The outboard engine is attached to the supporting member and has an impeller on a bottom. Position of a shaft center of the impeller is higher than the bottom. A water guiding member includes an annular fluid guiding unit covering the impeller and an injection nozzle coupled to the annular fluid guiding unit. A water drawing unit is attached to the stern to be positioned below the supporting member and includes a water drawing port, a water exhaust port, and a water drawing channel. The water drawing channel is formed between the water drawing port and the water exhaust port. The propulsion system is capable of responding to when water line of the vessel is shallow since water flow is injected after having the arranged position of the outboard motor higher by the supporting member and maintaining a state where flow amount is great under low pressure by the fluid guiding member and the water drawing path as stated above.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
