Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a propylene copolymer having excellent flexibility, transparency and heat resistance on the same level of a propylene homopolymer and excellent mechanical properties such as tensile strength, a impact resistance, etc.
SOLUTION: This propylene copolymer is a copolymer comprising propylene and ethylene as essential components and composed of propylene and another 2-8C α-olefin and satisfies the following conditions of (1) 85-95 wt.% propylene content, (2) 10-90 wt.% of a component (CXS) soluble in xylene at a room temperature, (3) a content (αt, unit: wt.%) of α-olefin except propylene and the room-temperature xylene-soluble component (CXS) satisfy a relation of the formula CXS>5αt-25 (5≤αt≤15) and (4) ≥160°C peal temperature of melting point.
