Abstract:
To provide a prostaglandin E2 release inhibitor which does not produce a side effect, is safe, and exhibits a strong prostaglandin E2 release-inhibiting activity.
This prostaglandin E2 release inhibitor is characterized by containing a Hypericum patulum Thunb extract obtained by extracting calluses obtained by the tissue culture of the Hypericum patulum Thunb with water and/or an organic solvent, or containing patulone or garcinone B obtained by separating and purifying the Hypericum patulum Thunb extract.
